There is a national
crisis slowing clinical research due to staffing shortages,
administrative burden, and clinical trial business models. The Society
for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) convened a summit in August 2022 to
discuss and address this crisis. Building on that meeting, APs at the
JADPRO Workshop
will have an opportunity to add to the AP stakeholder perspective and
identify the important ways that APs can contribute to a solution.
Learning Objectives:
Explain what is meant by “crisis in clinical research,” including the multifaceted stressors that have led to the current environment
Identify the ways in which interactions between key stakeholders involved in clinical research can be optimized
Discuss the role of the oncology AP in alleviating the current research crisis through improved engagement, understanding and inclusion
