Andrew Fisher, MD, MBE, specializes in obstetric and gynecologic medicine and delivers comprehensive care to cisgender women and transgender and gender diverse (TGD) patients. Dr. Fisher treats a wide range of gynecologic conditions with expertise in the care of opioid use disorder in pregnancy, gender-affirming hormone therapy, and more. As the Medical Director of the Transgender CARE Program (Clinic for Affirmation and Reproductive Equity) at the University of Chicago, he works closely with cancer specialists at UChicago Medicine to help tailor the treatment of TGD cancer patients.
To elevate his clinical practice, Dr. Fisher evaluates treatments and approaches that enhance the lives of his TGD patients. His current research focuses on understanding the unique care needs of TGD individuals in pregnancy. Dr. Fisher's work has been published in several highly respected peer-reviewed journals, including Neurourology and Urodynamics and Fertility and Sterility.
